WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Ranking Member Mark Takano (D-Calif.) released the following statement welcoming the Democratic members who will serve on the Committee during the 118th Congress.
“I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to the Democratic members who will be serving on the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs for the 118th Congress,” said Ranking Member Takano. “We have a diverse group of new and returning members who are ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work on behalf of our nation’s veterans. Our members bring a wealth of experiences to the table that will help us build upon the Democratic-led successes of the last Congress. We will continue to work toward delivering a VA for all veterans; modernizing VA for the next generation of veterans; ensuring every day in uniform counts toward GI Bill parity; empowering VA to fulfill its Fourth Mission capabilities; and conducting critical oversight and implementation of key bills. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but I am confident that we will protect the progress House Democrats made over the last four years and continue to deliver meaningful solutions for our veterans.”
